I enjoy challenges

• I offer complete structural repair or replacement of damaged or missing components. I have an ever- expanding supply of old woods and veneer. I  have reliable suppliers of period and appropriate hardware. I take the time to make repairs that are as close to the original condition as possible. I do everything possible to save an old or original finish. However ,sometimes the only option is to refinish. I offer two clear finishes. I prefer french polish(shellac) on case pieces, such as chests, or on chairs. On table tops or other situations where durability, water and alcohol resistance are a priority, I use an oil-based polyurethane with a satin sheen.
